PRIORITIES
NOTE:
Priorities are budgeted for in two distinct ways.
The first is within our regular operating budget and standard operating procedures. Both of these items have been adjusted substantially to address more routine streets and drainage issues. We now have the daily operations plan in place to address these key issues across the city. If you ever want to know where your concerns fall in the routine plan, please contact us.
The second budgeting tool is found in within our Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). It’s important to note that the CIP is not funded through our regular operating budget. For more information on funding tools, please contact your City Manager.
CIP priorities are built in a two-step process.
Staff identifies and inventories larger projects that need to be addressed.
City Council prioritizes and allocates funds which will determine the speed at which the project is accomplished.
Citizens play a key role in both of these steps. If you don’t see a project listed here, be sure to make the City Manager aware so he can ensure it is placed on the list. Additionally, contact a council member or your mayor to let them know why it should be prioritized.
